Q1. Can you briefly introduce yourself and your background? 

I recently graduated from Sinhgad College of Engineering. After graduation, I joined DataMites to pursue a Data Analyst course and develop industry-relevant skills in data analytics.

Initially, I experienced anxiety and uncertainty. However, once I started attending classes and learning new concepts, I became more confident. I have been placed as a Data Analyst at Rudra Research and Analytics.

The interview primarily focused on Python, SQL, Excel, and Power BI. The technical round included theoretical and coding-based questions in Python and SQL. I was also asked about the dashboards I had created using Power BI.

Additionally, the company conducted a practical Excel assessment to evaluate my analytical and problem-solving skills. After the technical round, I attended the HR round.

Q5. Why did you choose Data Analytics as a career?

During my final year engineering project, I worked extensively with data and implemented machine learning algorithms such as KNN and ANN. While working on those projects, I realized how much I enjoyed analyzing data and deriving insights. That experience motivated me to pursue a career in Data Analytics.

Since I was a fresher, I focused heavily on projects and internship experience. My resume highlighted:

Since I already had some familiarity with Python and SQL from my engineering background, I spent additional time learning Power BI through practice and dashboard development.

Apart from attending training sessions, I dedicated at least three hours every day to self-study. On many days, I spent even more time practicing and improving my skills.

Yes. I explored additional project resources through YouTube. Many creators provide detailed explanations and practical project demonstrations, which helped me enhance my understanding and gain more hands-on experience.

Q12. How did you stay focused and avoid distractions?

One of the biggest changes I made was reducing social media usage, especially Instagram. I constantly reminded myself that the effort I invest today will shape my future. Whenever I felt frustrated or discouraged, I motivated myself to keep moving forward.

Q13. What are your future career goals?

I want to continue growing in data-oriented roles. While I have started as a Data Analyst, I aim to upgrade my skills continuously and eventually explore roles such as Data Engineer and AI Engineer. Learning should never stop.

Q14. What advice would you give to aspiring data professionals?

My advice is simple: dedicate yourself completely during your twenties. If you invest five years of focused effort and continuous learning, it can positively impact the next several decades of your life. Consistency and persistence are the keys to success.
