Q6: How important is programming knowledge for a Data Analyst?

It depends on the project. If budgets are high, analysts may focus more on insights rather than programming. But generally, a combination of SQL, Python, ML basics, and Power BI is essential. Even if your coding skills aren’t top-notch, understanding problem-solving through data is key.

I attended 40–45 interviews before landing my role. Many times, I faced rejection due to gaps in Python or SQL knowledge. But instead of being discouraged, I treated every interview as feedback, learned from mistakes, and improved.

Q8: How do you stay updated with the latest industry trends?

At work, we have Innovation and AI teams that share updates. Additionally, I follow emerging tools like ChatGPT, Power BI advancements, and cloud technologies. Staying updated is crucial in this rapidly evolving field.

Q9: Do you think AI is a threat or an opportunity?

AI is definitely an opportunity, not a threat. Like every technology, it has pros and cons, but resisting it only holds you back. The key is to upgrade yourself and adapt to data analyst tools.

Q10: What advice would you give to beginners in data analytics?

• Don’t worry about your background commerce, engineering, or arts anyone can transition with consistent effort.
• Focus on structured learning rather than just cracking interviews.
• Attend as many interviews as possible it sharpens your knowledge.
• Build confidence, communication, and soft skills they matter as much as technical skills.
• Most importantly, never stop learning.
